Keystone’s Family Friendly Oktoberfest returns Sept. 5 for Labor Day Weekend fun in the mountains!

Oktoberfest at Keystone! Beers, Brats, Polka Music and Family Fun – Labor Day Weekend in the mountains!

KEYSTONE, Colo. – Aug., 2015 – Keystone Resort’s 3rd Annual Oktoberfest event returns to River Run Village this Labor Day Weekend on Saturday, Sept. 5 with the return of the Das Bier Burner 5K, seasonal craft beers from New Belgium Brewery, free music from Those Austrian Guys and traditional German dance performances from the Edelweiss Schuhplattlers! Keystone’s Oktoberfest caters to the entire family. While adults enjoy New Belgium’s craft offerings from the beer garden the littlest revelers will be served up a healthy dose of face painting, kid’s crafts and a bounce house, situated near the beer of course. There will be German fare o-plenty with Keystone’s restaurants dishing up plates of Bavarian Sausage Sliders , German Dumplings, Braised Sauerbraten Sandwiches and more! Work up your appetite with the second year for the Das Bier Burner 5K fun run which is expected to attract lederhosen-wearing runners and maybe even a dirndl-clad runner or two. The best part? The trophy for crossing the finish line is a stein of Oktoberfest bier for runners 21 and over with a valid ID, of course. Plus the race benefits SOS Outreach, a youth development non-profit that uses year-round, outdoor sports to engage underserved students in long-term mentor based relationships.

In the afternoon, Keystone’s Oktoberfest kicks up its heels and raises its steins with Colorado-brewed Oktoberfest beers from New Belgium and oompah bands from 1 to 6 p.m. Prost! A 2015 commemorative Oktoberfest stein is $35 and includes three beers. There’s a mason jar mug for a little less – $25 and includes the three-beer option.

Admission to the event is free with free parking in the River Run Village parking lots. Food and drinks are available at a la carte prices. Individual pints of beer are available for $7.

As an added bonus on Saturday, Sept. 5, the River Run Village stores and shops are getting in the spirit and having an Oktoberfest Tent Sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. that day.
We’ll Prost to that.
