CLIMAX GIVES BACK

This year, our volunteer program is proudly powered by Climax Molybdenum, a Freeport McMoRan company! Climax has a strong presence throughout our community. In addition to helping us give back to the Summit Rugby Club, Climax Molybdenum gives back to noteworthy nonprofits in the mountains. Here are 3 Summit County nonprofits that Freeport McMoRan supported through their 2023 community investment fund.

1.Keystone Science School

Wave hello to our neighbors! The Keystone Science School provides a science-based summer camp in the Snake River Valley just west of River Run Village. This nonprofit organization ensures that parents can remain the workforce by offering an affordable Summit Day Camp Program over the summer.

2. Summit County Community Care Clinic Expansion

With money received from this initiative, the Summit County Community Care Clinic expanded its services into Lake County. The clinic serves the medically underserved, uninsured, or underinsured populations by offering both medical and behavioral healthcare at an affordable cost.

3. Smart Bellies

Smart Bellies is a nonprofit that works to reduce childhood hunger by offering healthy bagged meals to kids and their families. Not only does Smart Bellies send home food with students over the weekends during the school year, but also makes weekly deliveries over the summer.

With their strong presence within the community, Climax continues to support various initiatives that make us all stronger, together. To see summer volunteer opportunities in Keystone, visit our volunteer page
