Keystone Festival’s mountain guide to Bacon & Bourbon Weekend
Keystone Festivals are legendary for bringing summer fun to the mountains, but there’s so much more to do in Keystone, we can’t fit it all in one weekend! Lucky for you, we’ve narrowed down which Keystone activities pair best with each Keystone Festival so you can plan your perfect Keystone Festival weekend!

1. Hit the Keystone Bike Park
The legendary Keystone Bike Park opens for the season on June 22nd, just two days before Bacon & Bourbon Festival! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced downhiller, the bike park has a trail for you. Keystone offers both season passes and single-day lift tickets for the summer bike haul so that you can pick the best option for your crew! Want an extra challenge? Bike up Jackstraw Road after the lifts have closed to kick your cardio into gear!
Not ready to mountain bike down Dercum Mountain but want to take in the beautiful green views after a great winter? Purchase a scenic gondola ride ticket to take in the majestic views of Dercum Mountain, Lake Dillon, and beyond! Did you know the gondola takes just 12 minutes to reach the top of the mountain? Keep your eyes peeled and you might even see some mule deer, a fox friend, ermines, and more!
2. Elevate your dinner game at the Ski Tip Lodge 
You might have seen Ski Tip Lodge vending food at Keystone Festivals. Not only is Ski Tip Lodge one of the most historic sites in Keystone, but it’s also one of the most acclaimed restaurants in the county. Available by reservation only, The Ski Tip offers a four-course dining experience along with wine-pairing recommendations from their top sommeliers. Plus, if you plan far enough ahead, you might be able to score weekend lodging at The Ski Tip and walk to and from Bacon & Bourbon Festival!
3. Golf at Keystone
Take some time on your wine weekend to find out what makes Keystone such a famous golf destination! With two distinctly different courses, The River Course and Keystone Ranch, your weekend is sure to be full of sweeping, breathtaking views from Keystone’s hidden gems. A touch of crisp mountain air, long summer days, and wildflower season make mid-July the perfect time to experience golf at Keystone. The cherry on top of an indulgent weekend, mountain golfing at Keystone will make you want to tee off in the mountains every time! Make sure to reserve your tee time in advance to make sure you have time for a round before each day of Keystone Wine & Jazz Festival!

4. Hit the Keystone Adventure Center for a splash of fun
Keystone Festivals take place in River Run Village, but there’s more to explore along the base of Dercum Mountain! Follow the rec path west from River Run Village, or drive to Lakeside Village Parking. The Adventure Center is located right on the lake; you can’t miss it! Bring out the whole family and rent any combination of paddle boats and kayaks to explore the 5-acre lake full of rainbow trout. Don’t forget your life vest; this early in the summer that water is COLD!
