Keystone Festivals gives you the ultimate “Wine and Jazz Festival Survival Guide”

Wine don’t whine at this year’s Keystone Wine and Jazz Festival! We’ve pulled together the best Local’s Tips so you can sip like a pro this July 14th and 15th!

Don’t Miss a Beat

With 300 varieties of wine, 12 food vendors, 4 educational seminars, and 2 stages all in 1 location, the Keystone Wine and Jazz Festival has options for everybody. Don’t let the variety intimidate you though! If you plan ahead your weekend will run as smooth as the jazz echoing through River Run Village. Buy your pass in advance so come festival day, you can just pick up your wine glass at Will Call and get tasting. Need some guidance on where to go once you’re ready to begin the festivities? Local’s Tip: download our Keystone Wine and Jazz Festival app for your iPhone or Android! It includes a map of the event, the schedule, lodging specials, and a list of all the wines, food, and merchandise being served and sold. You can be sure you won’t miss a beat or a taste the entire weekend!

On Cloud Wine

Take a trip to Cloud Wine and attend one of our four Specialty Wine Seminars over the Wine & Jazz weekend. Get to know the wine you’re drinking as our experts educate you on different themes such as sparkling wine or odd varietals. There’s even a tequila seminar for those that want to shake things up! Check out this Local’s Tip to fully round out your weekend of wine: attend the Friday Night – Reserve Wine Tasting at Warren Station Center for the Arts. You’ll get the ultimate VIP experience as you sip exclusive wines not featured at the festival’s Grand Tasting. Paired with gourmet appetizers and live jazz music, it’ll be the perfect way to kick off your weekend!

Comfort is Key

Whether you sport your vineyard attire or dress it down in jeans, comfort is key when enjoying the Keystone Wine and Jazz Festival. Check the weather in the morning to be sure you’re ready to party in rain or shine. Tents of wine and food braid through the entire River Run Village so expect to spend the day on your feet. Don’t worry though, we always provide seating around the Main Stage. So if you need a break from strolling, get off your feet and listen to some jazz music from artists like Althea Rene or Dotsero. Prefer a more intimate setting of music appreciation? Local’s Tip: visit Quaking Aspen Amphitheatre where there will be live jazz music from saxophonist, Will Donato, both Saturday and Sunday from 1-4pm. It’s the perfect place to take a festival intermission while sipping some wine under the Aspen trees.

Indulge Intelligently

With so many wines to taste at this epic event, it’s important to indulge intelligently. Each wine pass comes with food tasting tickets, so as you’re sipping on wine, check out some of the delectable dishes our local restaurants are serving at their food tents along the way. If you want to get the ultimate experience, spread out your tasting over two days and purchase the Weekend Package. It will give you plenty of time to visit any winery that catches your eye. Local’s Tip: fill up on gourmet pancakes before you head out to begin day two of Wine & Jazz. Warren Station hosts a specialty culinary event, Prosecco and Pancakes, every year and it’s back again on Sunday, July 15! It’s a sparkling morning brunch featuring delicious Prosecco cocktails with unique pancakes and sides that will give you the energy to take on another exciting day of Wine & Jazz in Keystone.

Wine down with a weekend of rich reds and crisp whites in the perfect mountain setting. And don’t forget to follow these Local’s Tips to jazz up your festival experience. See you July 14th and 15th at the Keystone Wine & Jazz Festival, sip sip hooray!
