#1 EAT – Gumbo…lots of it!

It’s FAT TUESDAY and we have gumbo vendors dishing out the best gumbo in Summit County. Pace yourself and try all vendors before voting for your top choice.

#3 LODGING – Book it!

What better way to enjoy Mardi Gras in the mountains then renting a condo in River Run Village. Book lodging through Keystone Resort, Summitcove.com or Key to the Rockies. Stay for the Keystone Culinary Festival and get rates starting at $199 from Keystone Resort.

#4 KIDS – bring them!

New this year, gumbo for the entire family. Kids get to participate in the gumbo-cook off with their own kid’s choice coupons. Stay until 5:00pm to see who is crowned the winner! We have a special appearance by celebrity kids Chef Nicholas Hornbostel who will be tasting gumbo to help decide the best gumbo in Keystone. Make sure to ask him his favorite recipe and snap a photo with him for a lasting memory!

We have put a twist on the classic hurricane! Grab yourself a Keystone Kane to start your Mardi Gras party off right. Don’t like the Kane? We will have Coors and New Belgium beer specials along with red and white wine.
