Dancin’ in the Rockies Dance Series

Tuesdays in August - 7:00 PM -

On Tuesday nights in August, the new Warren Station at Keystone in Keystone's River Run Village hosts a brand new dance series. Grab your favorite dance partner and join us the first four Tuesdays in August to learn a different dance style. Local and front range dance instructors and performers will provide free lessons in a variety of styles.  The final Tuesday in August will culminate into Summit County's Biggest Dance Party, and you and your partner can dance the night away.  All abilities, ages, and dance lovers are welcome!  All Dancin' in the Rockies Dance Series lessons are from 7 PM - 8:30 PM at the Warren Station at Keystone.  Each night, instructors and performers will showcase a different style:

  • August 3 - Local dance team Roger and Teresa Moen teach "Waltz across Texas," a combination of classic Ballroom and traditional Western for an unconventional fun night on the dance floor!
  • August 10 - "It's boot scootin' time at the Warren Station. We'll have a great time, Country-Western style. Come on over and learn how to do some fun "Line Dances" plus, how to do the "Cowboy Swing. Make sure you bring your biggest smile. YEEHAW!" Dance instructions by Mike "Tex" DeGarie and his sidekick Sandra."
  • August 17 - "It's time to kick up your heels, Country-Western style. Get ready to learn some fun "Line Dances" plus, the "Texas Two Step." The first step inevery dance is a big smile. So come join Mike "Tex" DeGarie and his sidekick Sandra for an evening of good ol' fun. Happy Trails!"
  • August 24 - Local dance team Roger and Teresa Moen teach the "Wild Wild West," a couples line dance and mixer for all to participate. Then stick around and learn the easy, romantic "Night Club Two Step," which is a cross over from Ballroom and can be done to country western. Don't miss this night of fun!
  • August 31 - Summit County's Dance Party - (band TBA)

Then join us for Summit County's Biggest Dance Party on August 31 with live music and more.  Lessons are free and open to the public.  You do not need to attend any or all the Dancin' in the Rockies Dance Series lessons to attend the Dance Party.
