Friday, March 11:

Otis Taylor - Part of Taylor's appeal is his contrasting character traits. But it is precisely this element of surprise that makes him one of the most compelling artists to emerge in recent years. In fact, Guitar Player magazine writes, "Otis Taylor is arguably the most relevant blues artist of our time." Whether it's his unique instrumentation (he fancies banjo and cello), or it's the sudden sound of a female vocal, or a seemingly upbeat optimistic song takes a turn for the forlorn, what remains consistent is poignant storytelling based in truth and history. On his sixth CD, Double V, Taylor unleashes intimate tales as he produces an aural excursion inspired by an unconventional childhood.  www.otistaylor.com.

Friday, March 18:

Euforquestra - Originally from Iowa City, IA, Eufórquestra (pronounced: yoo • FOHR • keh • struh, think Euphoria+Orchestra) relocated to Fort Collins, CO in August 2008 and has made a splash on the Colorado music scene with its progressive, genre-crossing funk fusions and a relentless tour schedule. Eufórquestra is quickly spreading itsself-proclaimed "Afro-Caribbean-Barnyard-Funk;" a unique, rhythmic blend of sound, integrating such genres as Afrobeat,Reggae, Afro-Cuban, Samba, Soca, Funk, Salsa, and Dub. Eufórquestra's music is igniting dance floors across the country, with a sound that "explodes, dances and melts in your ear with sheer bliss" (Chris M. Slawecki; AllAboutJazz.com). Aspercussionist and lead vocalist Matt Grundstad puts it, "we just want to make people dance." www.euforquestra.com.

Friday, March 25:

Eric Lindell - Eric Lindell is in a group of young artists creating music that blurs the lines between Blues, Rock, Jazz, Soul, and many, many other styles. Lindell even remarked in an interview on the 10/16/10 episode of Full-Time Blues Radio that the "cross pollination" between genres these days is more prevalent than it has ever been. Lindell gathered close friends for a southern California recording session to record his latest album, Between Motion And Rest, live to tape. The finished product is an eight-pack of gems that combine Blues influences with New Orleans Funk, Country music nods, Rock elements, and much more. www.ericlindell.com.

Friday, April 1:

Missed the Boat - Fresh out of the studio with the release of their self-titled sophomore album, Missed the Boat has been stunning listeners at live shows and over the airwaves throughout Colorado with their unique Americana-Rock sound. MTB produces the energy infused, positive, and upbeat sound that radio listeners deserve and concertgoers love.  www.missedtheboat.com.

Mountain Standard Time - As a bluegrass band that's anything but traditional, Mountain Standard Time follows in the footsteps of such Colorado greats as The String Cheese Incident and Leftover Salmon.  While leading acoustically with guitar, mandolin, and banjo, MST brands its own style, boasting a big, full-band sound with saxophone, electric bass, drums, and electric effects.  www.mstband.com.
